KUWAIT: Ministry of Interior detectives are investigating a suspicious called received from a woman claiming that her sponsors are cannibals. Operations received a 112 call from a woman claiming to be a maid from Ethiopia. She told operations that she lives in Salwa and that her sponsors are cannibals and that she saw a head in the refrigerator. Police were sent to the address the woman gave but no one answered the door. Suspecting the call to be malicious, the director general for Hawally Security Major General Shihab Al-Shammari has referred the issue for further investigation.

Livestock pen raids in Wafra

Weapons detectives carried out a campaign in Wafra, raiding an area of livestock pens. A total of four shotguns, boxes of ammunitions, four monkeys and cars used for reckless practices were discovered and confiscated. Arrested individuals will be sent to concerned authorities.

Salmiya police station call

A State Security officer made a call warning that the Salmiya police station would be attacked. The man called the Interior Ministry operations hotline. Reasons that prompted the policeman to make such call are yet to be known. Orders were given to take the necessary precautions.

Traffic offense, insult

A driver not only committed a traffic violation, but also insulted the traffic police officer who asked him for his driver's license. The officer lodged a complaint at Fintas police station. Legal procedures are being taken towards the suspect.

Cat in coop air duct

A strange sound, coming from the air conditioning duct at a Salwa area cooperative drew the attention of policemen, who responded to the call. The place was evacuated and authorities traced the sound only to discover that at cat has entered the duct and could not escape. Workers at the coop thought it may be a thief.

Reckless driving in Kheitan

Policemen arrested an ex-convict after he was seen driving recklessly in Kheitan area and endangering the lives of other motorists. Police found what is thought to be drugs on him. A security source said a patrol saw the suspect driving recklessly, so they stopped and arrested him. He was sent to the Drugs Control General Department.

Sheikh's car robbed

A ruling family member told police a thief stole KD 1500 from his car while in Funaitees area. The sheikh told police that while in Funaitees, a thief broke into the car and got the money. Detectives are investigating.
