KUWAIT: Criminal detectives arrested thieves who broke into cars and stole their contents in Sharq. The suspects used to take advantage of victims being engaged in prayers and targeted their cars, before escaping. Detectives figured out the times and places of the thefts and a team covered most mosques during prayer times, until an Egyptian man was arrested red-handed after he broke the window of a car. He confessed and led police to his partner, also Egyptian. Both were sent to concerned authorities.

Six rescued from fire

Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Qurain fire centers rescued a woman, four children and a maid who were trapped during a fire in the basement of a house. The fire was put out, and the six were handed to paramedics.

Fugitives caught

Ahmadi security carried out a security campaign in Mahboula, Mangaf, Sabah Al-Ahmad, Khairan and Mina Abdullah, resulting in the arrest of 15 persons wanted on financial cases, four wanted on various criminal cases, one for absconding and five with expired residency permits.

Policemen released

All policemen who are being held for disciplinary reasons were ordered released on the instructions of Interior Minister Lt Gen (Retd) Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah on the occasion of the National and Liberation Days.
