Lt Gen Dowsary commends security personnel's effort

KUWAIT: People flocked en masse to the Arabian Gulf Road during the past two days to mark Kuwait's national and liberations days.

Meanwhile, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lt Gen Mahmoud Al-Dowsary said Sunday the security personnel helped show the civilized nature of Kuwait during the national day celebrations. The senior security official has made an inspection tour of all security checkpoints along the Arabian Gulf Road and the sites of celebrations in the northern and southern parts of the country. Lt Gen Dowsary also made a maritime trip along the country's coastline, according to a press release issued by the Ministry's General Department of Public Relations and Security Media.

During the trip, he applauded the security personnel for their contribution to the organization of the festivities in an orderly, decent and civilized way. He also commended the effective cooperation and coordination among the various security bodies that helped offer reassurance to the holidaymakers, according to the statement.

Lt Gen Dowsary conveyed to the security personnel the greetings of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah on the occasion of the national days. The inspection tour aimed to make sure of the orderly implementation of the security plan for the celebration of Kuwait's 57th National Day, the 27th Liberation Day and the 12th anniversary of the assumption of office by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. - KUNA
