KUWAIT: Kuwait's Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced Sunday that the growth of job rate for Kuwaitis in the ministry has hit 99 percent since it adopted the 'Kuwaitization' policy in 2017, with the total number of employees reaching 3,093. The percentage of Kuwaiti employees in the legal sector in the ministry reached 100 percent, relying on the importance of the nationals' expertise, said a ministry statement.

The legal sector is witnessing a new methodology of work that depends on continuous cooperation with the Fatwa and Legislation Department on cases instituted by and against the ministry and in order to preserve its rights and protect public funds, it added. It pointed out that the ministry praised the efforts of Kuwaiti consultants and researchers who have succeeded in proving their competence.

The policy of replacing foreign workers with Kuwaiti employees came out according to the instructions made by the Minister of Commerce and Industry and in coordination with the Civil Service Commission in this regard, the ministry noted. - KUNA
