Kuwait: Hawally prosecutor ordered the arrest of four persons charged with storming expats residence claiming to be detectives then committing armed robbery. A security source said this order was made following a complaint from an expatriate woman from Madagascar and a man from India who told police the thieves stole seven phones and KD 600 before escaping.

Phone harasser charged

Hawally detectives sent a 24 year old Kuwaiti man to the prosecution after he confessed to inviting a girl to commit indecent acts over the phone. A Kuwaiti girl told Salwa police that a person called her over the phone urging her to commit the acts. He was arrested and confessed to the charges. In another incident, Hawally detectives arrested a citizen who beat another following a traffic dispute on Fahaheel highway.
