KUWAIT: Kuwait Municipality announced launching a new safety campaign at the Capital municipality, said Capital municipal safety manager Tareq Al-Adwani, noting that a special plan has been set to inspect licenses and make sure construction contractors remove construction debris. Adwani added that the campaign resulted in mandating contractors to remove 40 truckloads of debris from Sabah medical zone sites.

Separately, Kuwait Municipality assistant director for services and the head of the general cleaning committee Khalaf Masoud Al-Mutairi stressed that owners of hotels, residential, commercial and investment complexes, co-ops, department stores, tire repair and lubrication stores, factories, food stores and commercial warehouses should use commercial garbage containers for waste resulting from their activities and regularly move them to sites set by the municipality. Mutairi added that several complaints had been filed concerning these facilities' wastes, whose removal is not included in cleaning contracts.
