Counterfeit goods' smuggling foiled

KUWAIT: Customs inspectors at Shuwaikh Port managed to foil a smuggling attempt of fake goods, including watches, pens, lighters and electric shock guns carrying logos of well-known brands. The shipment is worth thousands of dinars. The importers were arrested and referred to relevant authorities.

Contests rejected

The constitutional court yesterday rejected three contests regarding domestic labor, the fatwa and legislation department and lineage hearings. The court also adjourned hearing a contest arguing the constitutionality of the DNA law till Feb 8 so that the Assembly could be notified.
