KUWAIT: A citizen and his girlfriend were arrested after they were seen in a car in a compromising position. Police received complaints from people in Bayan, so police went to the scene and arrested them. But the girl did not like it, retorting: "What is wrong with you? He is my fiancé!" Both were detained at Bayan police station, charged with committing indecent acts in public.

Financial disputes

An Egyptian man ended financial disputes with his compatriot by hitting his head with a sharp object before escaping. Police received a call about an man who was bleeding from the head in Jleeb Al-Shuyiukh. The man was taken to hospital. Detectives are working on the case.

Bad blood

Two friends met in a diwaniya in Adan and recalled old differences, which made them angry and they exchanged blows. One of them then pulled a knife and stabbed the other in the arm. The injured man was taken to Adan Hospital, and later lodged a complaint. Detectives are looking for the suspect.

Environment police

Several persons at Kuwait International Airport were smoking in places where smoking is not allowed, so they were caught by environment police. Citations were issued to the smokers and they were warned not to repeat such violations.

Drunk driver caught

A drunken citizen lost control of his car and ended up stuck on a pavement. A police patrol noticed the car and when they checked it, they found the driver in an abnormal condition with a liquor bottle in his hand. A security source said the driver told policemen he thought there was a turn but found himself on the pavement. Policemen arrested the man, who will face legal action.

Drug arrests

A police patrol in Salam approached a vehicle parked in front of a fast food restaurant and saw two men and a woman, all citizens, with a bag of drugs (containing Lyrica, Xanax, Seroquel and Valium). Police also noticed a bottle suspected of containing liquor on the backseat. The trio was arrested and will be sent to the Drug Control General Department (DCGD). Meanwhile, 71 wanted persons and violators were arrested during a security campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyiukh, along with 14 wanted over debts, 14 with expired residency permits, six for prostitution, one on felony charges, one loose laborer, two over drugs and one over liquor.
