KUWAIT: A couple who killed their young daughter and kept her body in a freezer were arrested yesterday. The interior ministry's security media and relations department said the body of three-and-a half-year-old girl Israa Salem Sabah Abdullah Bohan was found at her family's residence, and her father confessed to placing her body in the freezer immediately after her death a week ago.

Salem Sabah Abdullah Bohan, 26, said that he along with his wife Ameera Hameed Hussein, 23, committed the crime while under the influence of drugs. Investigations revealed that the suspect wrapped the girl in a shroud and bought the freezer on the same day she died, and put her body in it.

When the girl's body was examined, burns were found on the shoulder and legs, besides abuse marks. Investigations also found that the parents were negligent in caring for their four children, and the father was terminated from work for bad behavior.
