KUWAIT: The Kuwait Customs at the port of Shuwaikh seized 18,000 liquor bottles which were being brought in from another GCC country. "Six people were arrested in a joint operation conducted by the interior ministry's anti-drug department and Kuwait Customs," Kuwait Customs said in a press release. The bottles were found in three confiscated containers seized separately and was concealed within a large metal piping, which required the intervention of the Kuwait Fire Force (KFF).

The port was visited by interior minister Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled who praised the Customs and the KFF for their great achievement which required coordination and partnership in finding criminals. "National security should not be easily messed with and the law applies for everybody," Al-Khaled said, warning people about breaking the law in the country.
