KUWAIT: Sources at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (MSAL) strongly denied that any of the terrorists responsible for the Paris attacks had received funding from donations collected in Kuwait, and stressed that residents caught collecting funds in violation of Kuwaiti laws would be immediately deported. The sources highlighted that all charities in Kuwait were committed to laws and regulations and that they fully cooperate with MSAL to have more control over collecting donations and spending them. North Zour's stages

KUWAIT: An informed source said the Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects plans to merge the third, fourth and fifth stages of the North Zour power plant into one and name it the final stage due to their low production capacity. The source said the partnership authority designated Jan 17 as the final date to submit financial and technical offers for north Zour station (second stage), adding that "the technical conditions in this stage are not different from the previous ones, only in raising the production capacity from 1,500 to 1,800 megawatts (MW) expected to be produced by the first stage after its completion. The source said the authority decided to raise the production capacity to 1,800 MW in coordination with concerned authorities after noticing the offers of the consortium that competed for the first stage. - Al-Rai
