KUWAIT: Dasman Diabetes Institute, which was established by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, concluded this year's summer training program, a program organized annually by the institute for students of medical specialties in its various fields. The institute organized a day to display scientific posters summarizing the research conducted by students during their training period under the supervision of specialists from the institute.

This scientific day was attended by Dr Qais Al-Duwairi, Director General of the Institute, Dr Ebaa Al-Ozairi, CMO of the Medical Sector, Dr Faisal Al Refai, COO of the Operation Sector, in addition to many researchers and doctors of the institute. Professor Fahad Al-Mulla, CSO of the Research Sector at the institute, closely supervised this event.

On the sidelines of this scientific day, Dr Duwairi stated that he is proud of what the students presented during this training program, adding that it provides practical opportunities for students to be trained in an integrated and advanced work environment at the institute, specifying that this year has witnessed various research projects and initiatives on diabetes. Dr Duwairi said that the aim of this training program, which extends over a period of months, is to establish and provide the participating students with the necessary skills and practical knowledge in the research and scientific aspects, and to help them enhance their research capabilities.

The students were enrolled in various projects to explore, develop and refine their scientific abilities, under the guidance of senior members of the scientific team at the Institute and with the support of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences. Dr Duwairi concluded that Dasman Diabetes Institute, which was established by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, is pleased to provide the appropriate environment for developing the skills of researchers of the new generation in this field, wishing them success.
