KUWAIT: Health Assurance Hospitals Company (DHAMAN) announced sponsorship of Kuwait Medical Association (KMA) to support continuous learning for all doctors working in the healthcare fields in both public and private sectors, within the Company's national responsibility as one of the strategic projects in the development plan and the New Kuwait 2035 Vision.

This initiative between DHAMAN and KMA includes enabling doctors to subscribe to UpToDate website for a small fee, as this platform is considered a source to support evidence-based medical recommendations and decisions. The site is managed by more than 7 thousand specialized researcher and doctors from around the world is trusted by doctors as a reference in making the right healthcare decisions.

DHAMAN CEO, Thamer Arab, said that the Company seeks to develop the healthcare system in Kuwait in general, and provide the best solutions to enhance quality and employ the latest approved medical practices in the world, and at the same time provide the best types of care for patients, and this platform contributes to achieving these objectives, and works to transfer documented and evidence-based knowledge to caregivers, thus providing the best medical services in healthcare facilities.

Arab added that DHAMAN offers cooperation initiatives with all healthcare institutions in Kuwait to contribute to raising the level of healthcare indicators and achieving a paradigm shift in all medical sector institutions and facilities in Kuwait, pointing to the importance of this partnership with the KMA, which plays a tangible role in developing aspects of the healthcare sector, for the benefit of all beneficiaries, both citizens and residents.

KMA Chairman, Dr Ibrahim Al-Tawala, confirmed that the Association is always working to provide various resources necessary to develop and strengthen the medical system, and therefore KMA, in cooperation with DHAMAN, facilitated participation in this platform for a minimal fee, expressing thanks and appreciation to DHAMAN for this initiative to develop medical practice in Kuwait.

Tawala added that the UpToDate platform provides the latest evidence-based medical information and research to its subscribers, while providing a guide that provides documented solutions and answers to clinical cases and accidents and the best care for patients. It also contributes to the professional development of the medical staff by providing them with the latest developments in terms of information and instructions. In addition, this platform is considered an official reference for promotions and career and professional development in government and private healthcare institutions and facilities.

The agreement between DHAMAN and KMA includes providing support to reduce the platform's subscription fee by more than 80 percent for the members of the association, so that registration and subscription are accessible to everyone.
