disableKUWAIT: The third Disabled Tournament organized by Kuwait Disabled Sports Club came to a close on Wednesday night at the club halls. Activities include; shooting, athletics and target ball for the visually impaired. In the results of the third and final day, Al-Nasser team (represented by Abdallah Al-Haraz, Abdelaziz Al-Otaibi, Rashid Al-Hassan and Talal Al-Azmi) won the target ball event; Tahreer team took the second place while Wahda ended in third place.

The Pistol Shooting event was won by Mohammad Ajeel, followed by Ali Al-Khalifa - and Abdallah Latif (third position). In athletics, Abdelrahman Al-Kandary won the first place in the Discus Throwing Sitting Event; Nasser Saleh (second) and Mohammad Al-Mutairi (third).

In the Shot-put Throwing, Majid Al-Dhaye emerged victorious - taking the first position; Mohammad bin Jabal took the second place; Mohammad Ajeel (third). In sitting Shot-put Event, Mohammad Nasser won the first place, followed by Abdelaziz Masoud and Ahmad Al-Badri (third). In the 60-meter Running Wheelchairs for the (T33) category, Ahmad Naqa Al-Mutairi won the first place followed by Nasser Saleh and Hamad Al-Adwani respectively.

In the same distance for the (T53-54) category - Hamad Al-Adwani grab the pole position, followed by Faisal Al-Rajihi and Nasser Al- Azmi (third). Representative of the Public Authority for Sports and Director of ‘Sports for All’ department said the authority - headed by Sheikh Ahamd Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah is keen on supporting all sports clubs. He said that the club has succeeded in organizing three local tournaments this season, and urged all Kuwaiti youth with disabilities to join the club.

Meanwhile, KDSC Secretary General Mansour Al-Sharheed said this is the latest championship on the agenda for preparing players who are participating in the Rio de Janiero Paralympics next September. “It was a good opportunity to prepare these athletes - also is good to discover new skills,” Al- Sarheed said.
