Dorothee Schumacher first started in 1989 in Germany. "The brand then start expanding and we launched its first store in Kuwait in 2010. As it was successful, we launched our second branch at the Prestige, Avenues Mall in the same year. We seek opportunities through the interest in this region," Naomi Emiko, Communications Manager told the Kuwait Times.

The sizing of Dorothee Schumacher starts from No 1 - 6. "As the sizes differ in general between Europe and this region, we use different range of sizes. So for instance here in Kuwait we focus more on ranges between size 3 - 6, while in the European market it ranges mostly between 1 - 4. We don't choose different models for each region," she added.

"Dorothee started with a vision in her heart. She realized that women used to dress almost masculine and she wanted the opposite. She wanted to express the femininity in women, which makes her confident, and it shouldn't keep them from reaching their goals. So she started with the tinny t-shirt collection, which was very feminine, elegant, ad luxurious. She travelled to Italy and France and passed away transferring the ownership to the brand," concluded Emiko.
