KUWAIT: The Ministry of Interior completed distributing the devices needed to renew driving licenses automatically to various traffic departments, said informed sources, noting that the new service will be launched in March and would be limited to citizens pending setting special rules to include expats later.

PAAET reappoints Awadhi
The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) announced reappointing Dr Nabil Al-Awadhi as a teaching staff member in the Islamic Education department at the Basic Education College, as earlier. Notably, an Amiri decree was issued to re-grant Awadhi the Kuwaiti citizenship along with others after his citizenship was revoked back in 2014.

Projects' investigation
The Ministry of Public Works (MPW) decided to extend the tenure of the committee formed to investigate a number of construction projects till March 31, 2019, said informed sources. The sources added that the concerned projects had already been executed and handed over to beneficiaries through MPW committees, and that according to their respective contracts, they are currently subject to periodic maintenance.
Former minister Hossam Al-Roumi had formed a committee to investigate eight projects including a laborers' hostel in Shadadiya, the construction, furnishing and maintenance of Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialties, the experts building in Riggae, a supermarket in Garnata, the criminal investigations building, the second phase of Jaber Hospital, Arabizing health sciences and the Ministry of Education's new headquarters in South Surra.
