KUWAIT: A total of 52 drug cases were registered in the first half of April, involving 66 suspects, according to the Drug Control General Department. The amount of contrabands seized during the operations are as follows: 1.264 kg hashish, 982g heroin, 609g shabu (methamphetamine), 2,296 illicit tablets, 100g marijuana, 542g 'chemical,' which is a variation of Spice (synthetic marijuana) with added chemicals, and 21 liquor bottles.

Fake visa trader busted

An Arab man was arrested after being caught selling fake work permits. According to Residency Affairs Detectives, the suspect admitted that he sold the visas and used local companies to obtain the visas, the Interior Ministry's Relations and Security Information said in a statement. He claimed that he was only a broker and charged a fee for each passport copy.

Female investigator appointed

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah received investigator  Dhaha Obaid Al-Azmi on the occasion of her appointment at the investigations department. Ministry Undersecretary Lieutenant General Mahmoud Al-Dousary, and Director General of Investigations department Major General Dr Fahad Ibrahim Al-Dousary were in attendance.
