KUWAIT: An inebriated Kuwaiti man was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend and policemen, said security sources. Case papers indicate that a Kuwaiti woman called the police reporting that a drunken man had barged into her apartment and assaulted her. Reporting to the scene and knocking at the woman's door, policemen were surprised by the assailant who opened the door and assaulted them as well. Backup was dispatched to control the situation. Initial investigations showed that the couple had been having an affair and when the woman decided to break up with her boyfriend, so he barged into her apartment under the effect of alcohol to retaliate. A case was filed.

Two suicides
Two suicide cases were recently reported in Mahboula and Jaber Al-Ali respectively, said security sources. The first case was reported by a passerby who spotted someone hanging from a tree, and after approaching him, he discovered he was dead. The second case was reported by a Kuwaiti man, who found his driver hanging inside his room outside the sponsor's house.

Theft at clinic
A female secretary working at a plastic surgery clinic in the Capital governorate was arrested for stealing money from a patient's purse, said security sources. Case papers indicate that a Kuwaiti woman discovered the loss of her money while at the clinic and called the police. The owner was interrogated and denied knowing anything about the matter. However, on checking CCTV videos, detectives found the thief was the secretary and receptionist, who was arrested and referred to relevant authorities.

Harasser taught a lesson
Fed up with a Kuwaiti man's harassment and chasing her vehicle till her doorstep, a woman called her father telling him about the man chasing her. The father waited for him at her house, where he taught him a lesson and handed him over to the police. A case was filed and further investigations are in progress.

Financial dispute
An Indian man reported that three unidentified people with whom he had been having financial disputes lured him into a basement and tried to force him to sign a promissory note. They then beat and threatened him. The man denied knowing his assailants but said he knew those who sent them to settle the financial dispute. He added that he refused signing the promissory note and managed to escape. A search is on for the assailants.
