Cairo: Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi headed on Tuesday to the Qatari capital of Doha for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

The visit culminates intensive discussions between both sides during the recent period with the aim of strengthening joint cooperation at all levels, Egypt's Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Rady said in a statement.

Al-Sisi will discuss with Sheikh Tamim the most crucial aspects of bilateral relations between both countries, also they will hold consultations and coordination on various regional and international issues of common interest, he explained.

These issues require concerted efforts to safeguard Arab national security, the spokesman pointed out.

Yesterday, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported that Sheikh Tamim and Al-Sisi will discuss in Doha the bilateral relations between both sides, ways to enhance them in various fields and the most vital issues of common concern.
