LONDON: The Kuwaiti embassy in London yesterday issued a statement to Kuwaiti nationals and students, warning them of money transfers to unknown entities. The embassy indicated that it had received various complaints regarding fraudulent transactions involving entities claiming to be representatives of the UK's home office.

The statement stressed that any sum of money owed to the British government would be done via legal means and direct contact by mail and not through phone calls. Kuwaiti nationals and students should avoid giving vital information to prevent fraud from occurring, the embassy reiterated.

The embassy asked Kuwaiti nationals not to hesitate when seeking assistance on this matter, indicating that the +4402075903400 line will be available to address this issue and other important matters. - KUNA
