KUWAIT: Under the patronage and in the presence of President of Kuwait and Arab Tennis Federations, the second men’s Kuwait International Tennis Championship (M15 ALZAHRA) was held at Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah International Tennis Complex with 53 players from 16 countries participating.

The final match was attended by Turkish Ambassador to Kuwait Tuba Nur Sonmez, Embassy’s third secretary and representative of Al-Sahel Sports Club Faleh Lafi Al-Daihani. Matches’ results saw Turkish player Yanki Erel winning first place while Estonia’s Kristjan Tamm won second. In the doubles, William Jansen from Britain and Borys Zgola from Poland won first place while Lohithaksha Bathrinath from India and Pruchya Isaro from Thailand won second.

Kuwait players Bader Antar Al-Abdullah and Essa Salman Qabazard reached the doubles semi-finals in this championship. This concludes the series of International Tennis Championships organized by Kuwait Tennis Federation, under the supervision of International Tennis Federation, that started September 19 and it comprised of (4) juniors and (2) men’s championships.
