KUWAIT: Residency Affairs Detectives arrested an Ethiopian gang that urges domestic helpers to escape from their sponsors to become active in vice acts. Several flats used as brothels were raided and 12 persons were arrested. Four residency law violators were also arrested. The arrested were sent to concerned authorities.

Forger arrested

Criminal detectives arrested also arrested a Syrian who forged Syrian driver's license for some drivers in order to exchange them with Kuwaiti licenses. The man charged KD 300. An undercover source called him and he asked for KD 100 upfront, some papers and asked him a week later. The forger called the source sand handed him the license and was arrested. He said he has partners in Turkey, who make the forged licenses. He said that he processed around 50 such transactions.

Medicine smuggler busted

Doha customs officers confiscated large quantities of subsidized medicine with an Iranian passenger, who was trying to smuggle it abroad.

Meeting

Acting Director General of Civil Defense Colonel Jamal Al-Foudary headed a coordinating meeting in the presence of the head of the shelters work team Lt Colonel Fawaz Al-Qattan and representatives from the Education Ministry.
