Ex MP must pay fine for insult; Raids in Jleeb

KUWAIT: The Criminal Court fined former lawmaker Safa Al-Hashim and Al-Watan TV KD 20,000 in civil compensations for insulting Parliament Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim. In other news, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate asked the Kuwait municipality to allocate an area of 10,000 meters squared in the northern part of Qurain markets to carry out celebrations during the next National Day as well as public events.

Raids in Jleeb

Public security officers launched a wide ranging campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area in cooperation with Kuwait Municipality, to remove violations by expatriates. More than 18 expats of various nationalities were arrested.
