KUWAIT: Minister of Public Works, Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr Amani Bogammaz has inspected sites of public development projects and advised supervisors and workers to speed up the work and accomplish them as scheduled. The ministry said in a statement, on Sunday, that the minister had visited the construction site of Winter Wonderland project at Al-Shaab district, Abdelrazzag Derwaza tunnel and the construction site for expanding the airport, where she advised the personnel in charge to overcome any hurdles that may emerge in the execution of this vital venture.

Moreover, the minister had also met with her department's cadres, emphasizing that specifications and terms of contracts must be adhered to and urged for greater cooperation among the personnel to facilitate rapid execution of the scheduled projects. Bogammaz, along with her fellow female citizen Mai Al-Baghli, was elected as member of the recently formed cabinet of Kuwait.

Meanwhile, Municipality Minister Abdulaziz Al-Mojel assured private residences of 'bachelors' is one of the most important subjects that must be talked about, especially since 'labor cities' must be provided in cooperation with concerned parties. "The focus will be on municipal regulations, including advertisement rules and private projects awaiting final approval from the Municipal Council," Mojel said. A panel will be formed to follow up the matter, he said.

He explained that the most prominent topics related to the bylaws and the structural plan will be sent soon to the council so that it can, through its various committees, approve them through the main session of the municipal council, noting that the council is currently, through the Legal and Financial Committee, discussing Law 33/2016 regarding the Kuwait Municipality, and recommendations will be submitted soon to the Minister for municipal affairs for approval.
