KUWAIT: Minister of Public Works Dr Rana Al-Fares said the ministry would complete preparations of quarantine facilities and housing centers for expatriates in the coming days, part of the government's action to curb spread of coronavirus. Fares, also Minister of State for Housing, said the quarantine facilities would be located in Al-Jahra, South Sabahiya and Abdaly. She added in a statement the facilities would include testing zone and housing units.

Transport fees
KUWAIT: Due to the current circumstances, and as private schools are not open based on the cabinet's decision on February 26,and Match 19, the education ministry's Private and Qualitative Education Department issued a circular asking private schools not to collect transport fees as well as school activities expenses during the schools shut down. Schools shall deduct those fees, in case payments were made from school fees or refund parents who paid in advance.

Oil price down
KUWAIT: Price of Kuwaiti crude oil went down 91 cents to $21.20 per barrel (pb) in Tuesday's trades against $22.11 pb on Monday, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said yesterday. In global markets, the crude rates dropped yesterday due to excessive crude supplies and low demands, including the repercussions of coronavirus. Meanwhile, Brent blend crude concluded contracts, dropping $1.18 to settle at $31.87 pb. Price of the American Intermediate West Texas crude moved down on yesterday by $2.45 pb, settling at $23.63 pb.
