Extra day off for bedoon, Gulf nurses

KUWAIT: Health Minister Dr Jamal Al-Harbi agreed to grant bedoon and Gulf nurses two days off like their Kuwaiti counterparts during his meeting with the president and members of Kuwait Nursing Society (KNS). Harbi agreed to write to Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Anas Al-Saleh to approve the amendment, KNS President Bandar Al-Enezi said.

Harbi also agreed to form a committee with the ministry and KNS members to evaluate certificates of the nursing institute and give recommendations to appoint nurses who have completed supervisory courses as nurses-in-charge and assistant nurses to meet a shortage in hospitals and medical centers.
