Kuwait: Jahra police arrested a former police officer who claimed to be a detective and placed a flasher on his car, claiming it was his brother’s. Police patrols noticed the car with the flashing light on it, and when they asked the driver for his ID, he told police: “I am your colleague from the detectives’ department.” Policemen insisted on seeing his ID, but he attempted to escape. Policemen caught him while he was resisting. He was taken to Jahra police station for further questioning.
Search for swindler
A female citizen accused a Syrian man of swindling her out of KD 7,200 she had set aside for purchasing beauty salon equipment. The woman told Jabriya police that the suspect told her about the equipment as she was preparing to open the salon, but took the money and disappeared. Hawally detectives are investigating.
