KUWAIT: Farwaniya detectives arrested a Turkish suspect named Mohammad Ali Jolha, who works as a barber, with possession of 250 gm hashish, two envelopes of shabu, cocaine, paraphernalia and suspicious pills. He said that he traded in the substances. The man was arrested in Jabriya. He was taken to the proper authorities for further action.

Unlicensed weapons

Weapons detectives arrested a citizen named Thamer Saad Mabrook, residing in Qasr, who had unlicensed firearms and ammunition. Detectives found a loaded AK-47, a pistol and an AK-47 magazine. He was sent to concerned authorities.

Thief caught

Fintas detectives arrested a citizen named Hussein Jassim Mahmoud, an ex-convict, for break-in and a theft. Police received two complaints about thefts at mobile stores and the suspect was identified and caught in Mangaf.

Report refuted

The Ministry of Interior's Relations and Security Information Department said reports on social media that a policeman at Abdaly border outlet pulled his weapon in the face of a customs officer are not accurate. The department said that strict instructions requires security men who work at land border outlets to check all persons who use the outlet, but the customs officer did not comply with the instructions, and went to the police station and lodged a complaint. Meanwhile, investigations revealed that there was a previous problem between the two.

Brewery busted

Hawally security department busted a liquor brewery in Salwa run by a number of Asian nationals, who were arrested. A routine patrol suspected an Asian man who became nervous when he saw them, and when asked to stop, he attempted to escape. Police found he is an Indian national who had liquor on him. He said he receives the liquor from a house, and when it was raided, it was revealed to be a brewery.

Municipality campaign

Ahmadi municipality branch emergency team carried out a field campaign that targeted unlicensed congratulatory banners, as well as check restaurants and grocery stores. The campaign resulted in removing 39 signs, issuing 10 citations and destroying 10 kg of foodstuff.
