KUWAIT: Fatat Club won the URC Women Futsal League for the second consecutive time - beating Tadhamon 4-3 in the final match on Saturday at Kuwait Club hall. Kuwait secured the third place after beating Fatyat Al-Oyoun 4-3. The final match was attended by Deputy Director General of Public Authority for Sport Bashar Abdallah, Kuwait Olympic Committee Board Member Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Kuwait Football Association Deputy Chairman Ahmad Uqlah, KFA member Fatima Hayat, Tadhamon Club Chairman Mubarak Al-Nazal, Chairwoman of Fatat Club Fadeela Al-Shuwailan and other dignitaries.

Fatat Club player Mariam Noor was declared the best local player for the 2022-2023 season while Natalya Carolina was the best professional player. Aynaa Taiseer won the best foreign player while Dana Al-Enezi took the best promising player. Top URC scorer went to Isabel Desouza; Nour Al-Mansour (best administrator); Best coach went to Fatat Club coach Mohammad Al-Kandary and the Fair Play Prize went to Fatayat Al-Olyoun.

PAS Deputy Director Bashar Adballah said the authority is keen on supporting all athletes in various sports, including women. Bashar Abdallah said PAS will promote the successful experience of Women Futsal. Kuwait Football Association member Fatima Hayat was happy with the URC league's technical level, adding that Futsal Cup tournament will start next week. "We are seeking more support from PAS for women competitions in comprehensive clubs such as Tadhamon, Kuwait, Qurain and Sahel," Hayat said.
