Female candidate wins seat in labor syndicate

KUWAIT: Zainab Al-Enezi is pictured during elections of the workers’ syndicate at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor.

KUWAIT: The workers' syndicate at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor held its elections on Tuesday, which ran smoothly and featured notable participation by general assembly members who gathered to elect a new board of directors. Zainab Jasser Al-Enezi was elected as the first female member to ever join the syndicate.

In a statement to the press, she expressed her joy and gratitude to all those who voted for her and promised to work hard, along with her colleagues, to defend employees' rights, namely those of women.
