KUWAIT: Ten fire squads worked together to battle a huge blaze that gutted four warehouses located over an area of 8,000 square meters in Sulaibiya agricultural area yesterday. The fire was reported at 1:15 am, prompting Kuwait Fire Service Department (KFSD) to send teams from eight different fire stations, while Kuwait Army and Kuwait National Guard sent their fire teams to back them up.

Several refrigerating gas cylinders exploded during the fire, KFSD said, noting that the warehouses were used to store petrochemical substances, air-conditioning spare parts, electrical appliances and fiberglass materials in violation of the terms of their licenses for agricultural use. No injuries were reported in the fire, and a case was filed to investigate the causes.
