Three fire stations tackle Jabriya building fire



KUWAIT: Firemen put out a blaze in a Mubarakiya market restaurant Saturday, which spread to a nearby office and traditional clothes store. A fireman suffered a wound in his hand while tackling the flames, and a policeman suffered smoke inhalation while securing the area. Both men were taken to hospital.

Meanwhile, firemen from three fire stations worked together to put out a blaze reported in a Jabriya building Saturday. They evacuated the building before fighting the fire which had broken out in the basement that was turned into a warehouse to store cosmetics. No injuries were reported.



Separately, firemen put out a blaze that gutted a truck at the Nuwaiseeb border outlet north of the country. No injuries were reported. Investigations are underway in all three cases to determine the cause of the fire.
