KUWAIT: Fire engines are seen outside a Hawally building where a fire was reported.

KUWAIT: Hawally
and Salmiya fire stations responded to a fire that started in a basement of a
Hawally building. The basement was used as a seamstress' shop, where textiles
were stored. The 18-storey building was evacuated and fire was put out quickly.

A fireman was
injured, treated in hospital and discharged in stable condition. No other
injuries were reported. In a separate incident, Farwaniya fire station men
responded to a fire that started on the sixth floor of a building in Khaitan.
Firemen evacuated the building before putting out the blaze.
