Fireworks confiscated at birds market in Rai

KUWAIT: Kuwait Municipality Director Ahmed Al-Manfouhi stressed that he had instructed the Capital municipality emergency teams to confiscate all dangerous fireworks on sale at the birds market in Rai. Manfouhi added that many complaints had been made about the sale of hazardous fireworks and stressed that all vendors and owners would be held accountable and that inspection teams would tour and inspect the market.

Overdue debts
The Public Authority for Industry’s (PAI) acting chairman Mohammed Al-Ajmi said that overdue debts of beneficiaries of industrial land plots totaled KD 10 million, including KD 6.18 million in debts by governmental bodies, with whom coordination was in progress to collect the debts. Ajmi stressed PAI’s keenness on protecting public funds and setting a special mechanism to collect fees from users of industrial land plots.

Patients in Germany
Kuwait’s health office in Germany announced that all Munich public hospitals agreed to resume receiving Kuwaiti patients based on the financial guarantee of the health office. The office explained that previous delays in payment were the result of collective billing instead of sending each individual patient’s bills separately.
