KUWAIT: World Boxing Council Representative in Kuwait Meshal Al-Fajji said the first Kuwait Martial Arts Championship for amateurs and professionals will be held on September 23 and 24, at Kuwait Boxing Federation hall. Kuwait’s first Martial Arts Championship will have 13 varied matches. 10 will be in Muay Thai; four of which are for amateurs and the rest will be for professionals.

Meanwhile, all three boxing matches will be for professionals only in cooperation with WBC and Kuwait Muay Thai committee, which will participate as supervising partners. Al-Fajji said that Kuwait’s first Martial Arts Championship is the first of its kind in the Gulf region, and hope to introduce Kuwait champions to the world. There will be surprises and prizes for martial arts fans. Al-Fajji commended the support of member of Kuwait Olympic Committee and Chairman of Sports Committees Committee Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
