KUWAIT: Kuwait's Al-Najat Charity Society announced Wednesday that 5.5 million people benefited from its projects in and outside Kuwait during 2022. In a statement to KUNA, Chairman Faisal Al-Zamil said Al-Najat Charity is keen to implement humanitarian projects that keep pace with the vision of the wise leadership and the concerned authorities in the country.

"Achieving the sustainable development goals that promote a decent life for the beneficiaries is implemented through a clear strategy that aims at combating poverty, hunger and disease", Al-Zamil added.

In this regard, he referred to some projects in Kuwait, including payment tuition fees for insolvent students, which has benefited more than 50,000 students of different nationalities in the country since 1993, in addition to the provision of educational programs, courses and lectures. As for the projects abroad, Al-Zamil referred to the urgent relief in times of disasters and calamities, building hospitals and medical centers, developing projects, well drilling, construction of homes for the poor, building schools and sponsoring of students. - KUNA
