KUWAIT: One of the cars involved in a fatal crash reported at the Arabian Gulf Road Thursday evening.

KUWAIT: A deadly four-way car accident took place Thursday evening on the Arabian Gulf Road near the National Assembly, resulting in the death of Four persons while Four were injured; all members of the same family. Capital fire center and paramedics dealt with the accident.

No injuries in fire

Fire broke out in the basement of an eight-storey building in Farwaniya, and residents had to be evacuated due to thick smoke. Farwaniya and Ardhiya fire centers responded and discovered the basement was used as a carpentry shop and contained wood, foam and paint; materials that are highly inflammable and caused the smoke to spread quickly. People trapped in the elevator were freed and the fire was controlled. No injuries were reported.

Shooting team returns

The Kuwait police shooting team returned from Lebanon after participating in the Arab police pistol shooting championship. The team's results were as follows: In the individual women's 25m pistol, Sergeant Jazi Alzamil won second place, while in the men's category, Captain Abdullah Al-Kandari won third place. In the women's team category, Kuwait won second place. In the teams' tactical firing category, Kuwait won second place, while the women won third place in the same contest.
