RIYADH: The eighth annual meeting of GCC justice ministries' undersecretaries kicked off in Riyadh yesterday, focusing on inter-GCC judicial cooperation. Emerging from the meeting, Kuwait's Ministry of Justice Undersecretary Abdullatif Al-Saree said that the officials discussed a suggestion to form a specialized team from state members to follow up the US Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA).

Saree added that Saudi Arabia's justice ministry had raised an idea to hold an annual meeting of GCC judicial inspection departments' chiefs. Saree pointed out that the undersecretaries' annual meeting aims to look into relevant recommendations made by judicial committees since the beginning of the year.
