KUWAIT: A citizen in her twenties accused a person she knows of beating and raping her in Jabriya, then threatened to hurt her if she informed anyone. A security source said a call was received from Mubarak Hospital's investigator telling them of a girl in poor physical and psychological condition, claiming that she was beaten and raped by a person she knows only by his first name. She told police that she got acquainted with the suspect recently, who took her to Jabriya, raped her and kicked her out. Hawally detectives are working on the case.

Muggers caught

Two Saudis who robbed people at knifepoint over a year and a half in Jahra were arrested. Thirteen of the victims identified the two and said they stole their money, phones, watches and jewellery. Jahra detectives succeeded in locating them and arrested the suspects, who targeted laborers in Jahra. Investigations are ongoing.

Marble theft

A building janitor accused two persons of stealing some marble from a store at a building he guards in Nugra. The complainant, Somali, said that the suspects, Egyptian and Indian, committed their crime after they visited the place and inspected the goods. The value of the stolen marble is estimated to be in the thousands. Investigations are underway.

Search for bootlegger

A man who was selling liquor in Nuwaiseeb left 77 bottles behind and escaped to avoid arrest by Ahmadi police. Police received a call about an Asian who sold liquor in an open sand yard in Nuwaiseeb, and many people frequented the area. Police headed to the site, but when they arrived, they found the liquor but the suspect had disappeared. Detectives are working on locating him.
