KUWAIT: A Kuwaiti recently rescued a Filipina woman who had been kidnapped by three people in Fintas, said security sources. The man told police that he was heading to his vehicle when he heard the woman scream for help. He added that he ran towards the suspects, who appeared to be of Asian nationalities, but they let the woman go and drove off the scene. The citizen then took the woman to the police station to file a complaint. Further investigations are in progress.

Drug possession

Two men, Kuwaiti and Egyptian, were recently arrested in Maidan Hawalli with possession of drugs, said security sources. Patrol officers had ordered the suspects to pull their vehicle over, then discovered that they were under the influence. Searching the suspects, policemen found the drugs in their possession. A case was filed and further investigations are in progress.

Officers insulted

An Egyptian woman was recently arrested at Salmiya police station for insulting policemen, said security sources. Case papers indicate that the woman went to the station to report an accident that happened in Sharq. When told that she had to file the report at Sharq police station, she thought policemen were reluctant to serve her and insulted them. According to reports, the woman allegedly made fun of a detectives dressed in civilian clothes and called another 'bald.' The woman is facing charges of insulting a public officer on duty.

Body found

A body was taken to the forensic department to identify the victim and determine the cause of death after it was found near the Seventh Ring Road. Initial examination suggests that the man had been dead for three days before his body was found on Sunday. A case was filed for investigations.

Student injured

A Jahra primary school kid recently lost his right eye when a classmate attacked him using a piece of broken glass, said security sources.

Car thieves caught

Five Asians were recently arrested for committing several car robberies as they had specialized in stealing vehicles from outside of their owners' doorsteps, said security sources. Case papers indicate that while detectives were investigating several complaints received about stolen vehicles, they suspected a garage owner who, on being arrested, admitted to dismantling the stolen vehicles and selling them to his compatriots as cheap spare parts.
