Hip hop and R&B surpass rock as biggest US music genre

KUWAIT: More than 212,000 students in intermediate and secondary levels began their final examinations for the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year on Wednesday morning, the Ministry of Education announced. According to the ministry, a total of 212,755 students from grades 6 through 11 commenced exams across public and private schools nationwide.

This includes 128,263 students in intermediate schools, 43,623 in Grade 10 and 40,869 in Grade 11, across both scientific and literary streams. In a press statement, the ministry confirmed that all necessary preparations had been completed to ensure the smooth and efficient administration of the examinations. Schools and examination committees are fully equipped and ready to accommodate students, it said.

The ministry indicated that intermediate school exams will conclude on May 29, while examinations for Grades 10 and 11 will continue until June 2. Reaffirming its commitment to providing a fair and supportive academic environment, the ministry stated that both human and technical resources have been mobilized to uphold the highest standards throughout the examination period. As part of its student support efforts, the ministry highlighted the availability of various digital learning tools, including the electronic library and the interactive “With Hamad Chat” feature accessible via its official website and mobile application.

The ministry extended its best wishes for success to all students, urging them to remain focused and adhere to examination rules and regulations to maintain discipline and academic integrity. It also underscored its ongoing cooperation with parents, emphasizing that enhanced communication channels are in place to motivate students and facilitate a smooth testing experience. — KUNA
