KUWAIT: Hawally prosecutor ordered a homicide investigation in the case of a Filipino man whose body was found recently with a bruise around the eye. A security source said police responded to a call about a man found dead in a Salmiya apartment. They found the victim's body hanging in what initially appeared to be a suicide. Investigations are underway.

Cable theft

An Egyptian man told Mina Abdullah police that five men entered a fenced-off area that belongs to his company, tied him up and stole copper cables that were stored there. When they were done, they only untied his feet. Criminal evidence (forensics) officers inspected the place, and detectives are working on the case.

Domestic violence

A citizen accused her brother of beating her and breaking her finger. The woman handed police a medical report stating she needs treatment for 21 days. A case was filed for are investigations, and the woman's brother is being summoned for questioning.

Arrest warrant

Nugra investigator ordered a Western woman to be arrested after failing to contact her following a complaint by a citizen in his 30s, who accused her of attacking him and deliberately damaging his car. The citizen said the incident took place near a private school, and he was unable to deal with her because she is a woman.

Hospital theft

Hawally detectives are reviewing surveillance cameras at Mubarak Hospital in an attempt to identify a thief who stole from a patient admitted for surgery. The patient told Jabriya police that his wallet was stolen with IDs and KD 240 in it.

Drunk driver caught

Criminal detectives arrested a suspect responsible for multiple hit-and-run cases in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh last week. He was found heavily intoxicated after drinking cologne, and three empty bottles were found in his car. The bedoon suspect said he committed the act because the expats had picked on him and ridiculed him, making him lose control and run them over. The victims did not lodge a complaint.

Counterclaims

A Kuwaiti girl and two policemen were sent to the public prosecution for investigating claims and counterclaims, as the policemen said they were insulted by her, while she claimed she was harassed and her clothes were pulled up. - Al-Anbaa
