KUWAIT: Head of the navigational forecasting department at Kuwait Meteorological Center Derar Al-Ali told Kuwait Times that high humidity is expected to continue in Kuwait today over coastal areas with light to the moderate northwesterly wind, with the possibility of a temperature increase from today through Friday. He said the weekend will witness an increase in temperatures and rising dust over open areas, with active northwesterly winds. "The temperature in Thursday is expected to reach 50 degrees Centigrade, which will hopefully go down by next week," he said.

Kuwaiti meteorologist and astronomer Adel Al-Saadoun said humidity and heat will dominate coastal areas in Kuwait during the week, which in general will have light to moderate winds from the northwest, and dust will recede gradually. In the first weeks of August, humidity and temperatures will significantly increase, but will drop gradually to lower than 47 degrees Celsius. Speaking to Kuwait Times, Saadoun indicated the weather during Eid Al-Adha will continue to be hot with northwesterly winds.
