KUWAIT: Police announced yesterday that an imam and muezzin were sent to the Public Prosecution for investigations in a fight involving the two and multiple other suspects reported recently. In his statements to police, the Lebanese imam said that the muezzin stormed his apartment in a Sabah Al-Salem building along with other persons, then attacked him and his two sons aged 16 and 15.

The muezzin, Egyptian, admitted engaging in a fight with the imam, saying that it was sparked by a verbal dispute, but denied allegations that he was joined by others in the brawl. Police arrested a number of people suspected of being involved in the fight, the Interior Ministry's Relations and Security Media Department said in a statement.
