KUWAIT: President of Kuwait's 1st Orthopedic Surgery Conference and orthopedic surgeon at Al-Razi Hospital Dr Ali Jrag stressed that an increase in fractures, accidents, joint pain and osteoporosis has increased the demand for orthopedic surgery in Kuwait. Speaking on the sidelines of the conference jointly sponsored by KISR, the faculty of medicine and Al-Razi Hospital, Jrag said that orthopedic surgeries have come a long way and are highly developed thanks to modern technological applications.

MSAL's disabled care dept

The manager of MSAL's disabled care department Musallam Al-Sebaei yesterday met employees of the vocational rehabilitation and the disabled care departments to discuss the problems they face in doing their jobs and possible solutions. Meanwhile, a number of employees of the disabled care houses yesterday held a sit-in protest for transferring them to Sulaibikhat.

MP files an inquiry

MP Faisal Al-Duwaisan yesterday filed an inquiry addressing Minister of Communication and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Essa Al-Kandari concerning transferring a number of Kuwaiti pilots from Kuwait Airways to other administrative government jobs.

Mosque car parks

Municipal council member and Hawally committee chairman Yousef Al-Ghareeb urged authorities to organize car parks around Salwa mosques. In another development, Municipal council member and Farwaniya committee chairman Nayef Al-Sour said PAS should be held responsible for the cleanliness of horse stables in Kabd instead of the municipality. He added that the area was full of diseases resulting from trash and dead animals surrounding the stables. "Some people have started getting rid of rubbish by burning it," he underlined.
