KUWAIT: Interior Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Nationality and Residency Affairs Maj Gen Sheikh Mazen Al- Jarrah said a meeting will be held with Ministry Undersecretary Lt General Sulaiman Al-Fahad to discuss the mechanism of bringing in farm workers from abroad. He said that the door is open for Bangladeshi labor to work in Kuwait but according to certain conditions.

He said “Indian labor is still on hold as Indian authorities imposed a bank guarantee for their domestic helpers, as a condition to bring them to Kuwait”. He rejected to “have the citizen hear any additional burden to bring in labor, and there is a total rejection of the bank guarantee imposed by India lately”.
