KUWAIT: The new assistant undersecretaries stand before Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh, and senior ministry officials. - KUNA

KUWAIT: Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh appointed on Thursday three assistant undersecretaries and promoted a brigadier to the rank of major-general. In the presence of the Ministry's Undersecretary Lt Gen Esam El-Nahham, the minister adopted the three No 395, 396 and 397 (2020), naming Maj Gen Anwar Al-Barjas as assistant undersecretary for residency affairs and Maj Gen Mohammad Al-Sharhan as assistant undersecretary for criminal security affairs, and promoting Brig Staff Abdulaziz Al-Rashidi to the rank of Major General.

Maj Gen Rashidi was also appointed as assistant undersecretary for the state security apparatus affairs, according to a statement from the Ministry's Public Relations and Security Media Department. Minister Saleh conveyed the greetings of the political leadership to the personnel of the security institution, appreciating their efforts to maintain the rule of law on everybody, the statement said.

He urged the security personnel to continue their efforts to ensure the safety of all citizens and residents in Kuwait and asked the newly-appointed officials to shoulder their new responsibility at the exceptional conditions in the country. - KUNA
