Interior Ministry launches visual sessions for prisoners

KUWAIT: The Ministry of Interior announced on Monday launching the visual sessions’ system at correction facilities at prisons. The advanced service has been provided in cooperation with information’s technology and communication sector at the ministry and the Ministry of Justice.

The system has been set up upon instructions by First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior (retired General) Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Ministry’s Undersecretary Major General Anwar Al-Barjas, matching latest international technology techniques, the public relations and information department at the ministry added in a press release. This new system constitutes a major leap, resembling international technologies operating at prisons, it added. A number of senior ministry’s officials witnessed its inauguration. – KUNA
