Brigadier Adel Al-Hashash

KUWAIT: The Director General of the Relations and Security Information Department at the Interior Ministry Brigadier Adel Al-Hashash said security authorities have taken all necessary steps to prepare for the rainy season and reduce its effects to a minimum. He said there is continued cooperation and coordination between concerned ministry departments including general security, central operations department, traffic department, civil defense, najda and the relations and security information department.

Hashash said that central operations received 4,306 calls, while traffic received 2,053 - 526 for reckless driving - and civil defense received 17 calls during the rains. He said all calls to 112 are handled immediately, adding that anyone facing a problem should not hesitate to call. He said citizens and expats should follow all instructions to guarantee safety and security. He added drivers should be careful and remain within the speed limits, use seatbelts and refrain from using a mobile phone while driving.

Municipality campaign

Kuwait Municipality continued its inspection campaigns on food outlets, restaurants, co-ops and stores. Shift A of the emergency team in Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorate inspected the Qurain markets area, confiscated five kilograms of expired food and issued seven citations.
