KUWAIT: Director General of the Interior Ministry's Relations and Security Information Department Brigadier Adel Al-Hashash said that all Interior Ministry sectors completed their preparations for the summer and travel season.

Hashash said the department began implementing its media awareness plans that are necessary for this occasion through all available media. Furthermore, he added that there is total coordination with the sea security sector to carry out the media campaign throughout the summer, and provide guidance to citizens and expatriates who go to the sea.

Hashash said that boats and jet skis must be registered at the sea affairs department at the transportation sector of the Ministry of Communications according to the law. Those riding boats and jet skis must be at least 18 years of age, can swim and use the life vest, he said.

Hashash appealed to sea goers to comply with the territorial borders, call Coast Guard operations and inform them about their whereabouts, in addition to making sure they have enough fuel.
